Jin-ye Wang, PhD
Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Team Leader of Biomaterials Lab, Shanghai Jiaotong University
Jin-Ye Wang, PhD, earned her doctorate from the Tohoku University of Japan in 1992, then moved to RIKEN and The National Institute of Health and Nutrition in Japan. In 2000–2009, she served as professor of the Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and was adjunct professor of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiaotong University. She is now the professor of Biomedical Engineering and Team Leader of the Biomaterials Lab at Shanghai Jiaotong University.
Wang has published more than 60 papers, four book chapters and 12 Chinese patents. She was an invited speaker of the European Conference on Biomaterials, Pacifichem et al. She also was awarded by the Hundred Talent Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1999) and the Life Sciences Prize from Meiji Dairies Corporation (2008). Her research interests include tissue engineering, controlled release and fluorescent probing, and biomimetic materials and bio-interfaces.
